Trampolines for Cystic Fibrosis and how you can help
It's effortless but will do so much.
Dear readers, especially you who are in Brisbane and Adelaide,
Web and Warehouse are thrilled to be charity partners for Cystic Fibrosis Queensland's Bounce 2 Breathe program that offers P&C Associations an opportunity to partner with Cystic Fibrosis Queensland and fundraise together.
Why trampolines?
Every four days a child is born with cystic fibrosis (CF) in Australia. It is the most common life-shortening condition, slowly shutting down the airways, lungs and pancreas. Many people born with cystic fibrosis today will not live beyond their forties. The fight against CF is life-long and relentless.
Of all the physical therapies they must endure, bouncing on a trampoline is the only one that is fun. The simple act of bouncing is a highly efficient aerobic exercise which maintains health, helps clear the lungs of thick, sticky mucus and most importantly improves mental health because it’s fun.
This was the inspiration behind the B2B program and why Web and Warehouse jumped at the chance to become charity partners - donating over $40 000 worth of GeeTramp trampolines to kick-start the Bounce 2 Breathe fleet.
How your Brisbane or Adelaide school can benefit
Bounce 2 Breathe delivers a trampoline park experience to your schoolyard and combines fitness, team building, and social responsibility into one fun package, with every bounce raising funds that are shared between Cystic Fibrosis Queensland and your school. In the first Bounce 2 Breathe activation, 1000 students from Mango Hill State School bounced into action and raised over $22000 in one day. Many other activations and events took place in 2019 with interest coming in from other states and cities. Adelaide has joined and will be arranging Bounce to Breathe in Adelaide schools in 2019 as well.

Andrew and I have witnessed first hand the impact of the Bounce 2 Breathe at Mango Hill State School and we encourage our customers in Adelaide and Brisbane, for now, to consider putting it forward as a fundraising option for their school. All the kids had so much fun and with the education aspect on how to use a trampoline safely highly beneficial when coming from someone other than parents!
Happy bouncing!
