Aidan Gallagher - New Zealand Gymnast & GeeTramp Ambassador
Hi, my name is Aidan Gallagher and I’m a 15-year-old gymnast from New Zealand. I was first introduced to gymnastics when I was 5 years old when my school went through a 6-week programme of going to gym classes once a week. On the last session, I got a letter sent home with me saying that they had identified talent in me and asking me if I would like to be a part of their gymnastics programme. With me being a five-year-old, gymnastics sounded cool, so I said “Yes”. From there I did one year in recreational gymnastics and then went into competitive. I have now just finished my ninth year competing competitively and am currently at MAG (Men’s Artistic Gymnastics) Level 7.
How I became an Ambassador for Web & Warehouse
A year or so ago I noticed GeeTramps being promoted on Social Media so I approached them to ask if I could become an Ambassador for them. I was extremely lucky and very excited to hear back from Julie at GeeTramp that I had been accepted into their Ambassador programme – and would be the first New Zealander also!
I was sent a 10ft x 17ft rectangular netted trampoline. There was huge excitement from myself, my family and my friends when we set this up!
I jump every single day, and I absolutely love it.
How has GeeTramp helped me?
Trying out new skills on the Olympic trampolines at gym have always helped me in advancing my gymnastics routines. Having a high bounce trampoline now at home in my backyard means that I can practice all my skills on a daily basis rather than waiting for a turn at gym. My new GeeTramp high bounce trampoline has helped me master Back 2 ½ Twist along with my Front 1 ½ and Front Double Twist. With the trampoline being so big it means I can practice many connections and not run out of room. It also means I can practice without the fear of getting hurt.
Recent Gymnastics & Tumbling Achievements
- In 2018 I got 3rd for level 7 overall artistic MAG Gymnast at the NZ South Island Championships.
- I competed for 2 years in Power Tumbling and won the National title and the Indo-Pacific title in the 13-14 years Men’s event.
- I’ve represented Canterbury for competitive MAG Gymnastics for the last 4 years.
- At the 2017 NZ Nationals level 7, I got 4th on Vault.
Future Goals
My ultimate goal is to represent New Zealand in the Olympic Games, World Championships or the Commonwealth Games. Some mini goals along the way would be to compete at the Australian Nationals, to attend more International Competitions and achieve skills all-around at a higher level in all 6 apparatus.

You and a couple of others were the particular motivation for us to take our trampolines to New Zealand. You had identified something in them that had you reach out to me and only then was doing business in New Zealand a real option for us. I thank you for your encouragement and support through the journey along with your tips and advice along the way.
Sponsoring Aidan was an easy choice for a number of reasons.
Number one he is a great communicator not only in having DM me on Instagram about getting our trampolines into New Zealand but for the way in which he communicates and comments on his social media profiles to and with his followers.
He is active on social media which is important for engagement and maintaining interest from followers.
He trains and strives for excellence in gymnastics.
Aidan is also one of few boys that I know that is active online as a gymnast, when most of the guys are doing gtramp, parkour and free running or diving, snowboarding etc. Being a gymnast is his unique point for being one of our ambassadors.
I really look forward to seeing where Aidan goes with his training and I definitely hope he achieves his goals of Nationals and the Olympics. It would be great to cheer someone I know on the world stage of the Olympics. Wishing you well Aidan.
