New Zealand Trampoline Ambassador - Victoria - Her Story
My name is Victoria, I'm almost 16 and live on the North Island of New Zealand.
You can find me on @victoriaamoffat
In the beginning, it was gymnastics
I first started gymnastics around aged 5. I loved it and soon enough I was on the competitive squad. At my peak, I trained 14 hours a week in the gym. At approximately ten years of gymnastics, I had my first major injury, I broke my foot. I was out of training for a quarter of the year and when I returned, I transferred to a new gym and a new gymnastics discipline, power tumbling. At first, I was really disheartened because my tumbling was nothing like it used to be but after 10 weeks of hard work, I was better than ever and came 7th at North Island championships. Unfortunately, before I could compete at nationals I badly strained my posterior and anterior UCL tendons in my elbow and I have been out for fourteen weeks already.
Instagram Growth
I first started my Instagram account at the end of 2016 and by Christmas 2016 I had a following of 1000 people. from there my account really snowballed and by Christmas 2017 I had 50000 followers. It was super amazing to watch my platform grow as my filming, editing, and gymnastics skills grew too. Now I have over 70,000 followers.
Becoming a GeeTramp ambassador - 9x14ft Trampoline
I first came across GeeTramp trampolines after seeing other Instagram tumbling accounts posting videos on them. My Instagram followers then nominated me to become an ambassador which I was very grateful for as their products looked amazing and the thought of sharing their products with my followers excited me.
I was very fortunate to have been selected as an ambassador in the middle of 2018 and as a result, I was sent a 9x14ft rectangular trampoline with standard bounce.
This GeeTramp trampoline has benefitted me hugely. Even though I have an injured elbow, I can still practice all my armless skills while never having to worry about falling off or hurting myself. Having an amazing trampoline right in my backyard means I can master skills and develop new ones whenever I desire, the trampoline is the perfect training aid. My trampoline helped me master my full twist and front layouts.
Julie Says
- As yet we haven't met and look forward to when we can in New Zealand in 2019. With the unfortunate elbow injury that Victoria is dealing with presently, we haven't really seen any posts of her on the trampoline. We hope very soon she will be recovered enough to share her progress in some fun and creative ways.
Victoria has a very impressive Instagram account of followers who were very active in nominating for her to be an ambassador for our brand GeeTramp, Victoria is to be commended for such a strong influential reach through posts, comments and personal interactions of support and encouragement.
