Ambassador @parkourAYCE - "Instagram" and "YouTube" Aussie Parkour Teen Flipper
My name is Andrew, and when I was 15 I saw a video on YouTube by “Stunts Amazing” called "World's best parkour and freerunning 2015" I was so inspired that in 2015 I began a journey that has changed my life!
How I became a GeeTramp Brand ambassador
I initially found Web and Warehouse when I was looking on Google for new trampoline brands. I reached out via Instagram direct message as they were seeking brand ambassadors at that time; soon enough I was super lucky to become one of their first ambassadors, they sent me a 10x17ft trampoline which was significantly bouncier than my previous round trampoline. After some months with the standard mat, I was upgraded to the high bounce mat and change of springs.
Many of my friends that come over also love going on it. The design of the trampoline is super cool with the upper net poles, as these allow you to do tricks that can only be done on that trampoline.
GeeTramp Meetup
I attended one of the Web and Warehouse meetups in September 2017 in Geelong. It was probably the best day of the year for me. It was super fun meeting Julie and everyone else. It was an outstanding experience getting to do flips with so many skilled Gtrampers that until that day, I had only known through social media. I was super sad when the meetup was over because that meant that the fun and much-anticipated event had come to an end.
My Tricks
Some of the hardest tricks I've been able to do is a triple backflip, triple frontflip combos, and double backflip off 3 limbs, 2arms and 1 leg (also called a tripod backflip) I think if there was some way the trampoline was even more bouncy it would allow me to get more height and even try harder tricks!
The new Mini GeeTramp
Recently I became the first person to receive a mini GeeTramp to test and trial. It is super fun and one of the best things I've tried, it was super fun taking it down to the beach and doing flips at home off of it onto mattresses, and then up onto my old trampoline. Definitely one of the best mini trampolines available.
My area of expertise
I am primarily a ground flipper, and I have done double backflip combos on the grass, and standing double frontflip flat, as well as 10 standing fulls in a row, 17 backflips in a row, and 13 frontflips in a row. I think with the use of a GeeTramp you are able to perform the techniques while trying to bounce as least as possible, this will give a similar feel to the ground, but without the risk of landing wrong on hard ground.
Future direction
My goals for the future is to continue progressing in the sport and with video creation, hopefully one day I will be able to make a full time living from this passion and be able to teach other people the ways of training, such as the right diet, sleep, when you should train, hydration, resting days, and all other important yet underutilized topics that many flippers miss out on. I am currently in the process of making an app and a website, as well as YouTube videos that will go over some of these topics.
Where to follow me on social media
If you would like to see any of the content and videos I create, my Instagram and YouTube name is "ParkourAYCE"
I would also like to give a big thank you to Web and Warehouse for sponsoring me, and helping me achieve my results today!
