Awesome Trampoline Summer Holidays

trampoline-games-summerGames and fun for trampoline Summer Holidays

Summer holidays stretch out before us again. With many trampolines received for Christmas, new fun can be had with a bit of imagination. Trampolines have been, for a long time, a big part of summer in Australia. We often talk to parents and hear how they want their kids to enjoy a trampoline as they did as kids. Jumping, ball games, talking with friends and water play.

On really warm days playing under the trampoline in the shade can be just as enjoyable. Layout a picnic mat and you have a nice place to read, play games or have a picnic!

After a hot day inside, being able to get out late at night can be just the energy relief that is needed. Jumping with glow stick bands on can look really cool and be fascinating and a lot of fun for the kids.

Balls are always a great fall back

Soccer: Playing soccer on the trampoline by using the netting between the net pole posts as goals can be very entertaining for the kids. Our boys would play with four on the trampoline and it would be a competition for the first to kick X number of goals! Each had their own goal space to protect. Please note that any more than one on the trampoline is not recommended so caution and safety must be discussed with all users prior to this being allowed.

Basketball: Kits are available now for attaching to the trampoline. If you are yet to purchase one but you have a portable basketball ring, drag it over near the trampoline for some hoop games. Be sure to move it away from the netting prior to getting back into the gymnastics routines though!

Volleyball: This is also a great game for two to play on the trampoline. We now sell a net for the 10x17ft trampoline, but it would be easy enough to make something up which is removable so it can be played on your trampoline.

Poison Ball: (wet sponges as the poison balls is fun too) and any other creative games that are spontaneously made on the run!

Other fun games

Water Play: While on the topic of water, sprinklers that pass the trampoline are fun, as are the ones that can sit under the trampoline. Please ensure your kids are old enough and responsible enough to be careful not to act too silly and slip or hurt themselves. (just a care note - if using bubbles or detergent hose the trampoline down with fresh water at the end of the day. Same if there is a pool nearby and the kids are going from pool to Trampoline when wet)

Sleep Outs: Vuly Trampoline has made this a little easier by including free tents/shade covers with their trampolines. If you don't have a tent, a nice clear sky on a balmy night, gazing up at the stars while talking with siblings or friends will be very memorable. Bundle the kids up with sleeping bags, pillows, torches, a few midnight snacks, and insect repellent. We can guarantee they will have a great night (even if they move into the house in the middle of the night)!

Friends: This is what the trampolines are made for; taking turns on the trampoline, making up new dance and gymnastic routines and just lying around talking on or under the trampoline.

Chalk:  Chalk can enhance games and dance routines or just be fun to play with while relaxing quietly.

Decks: Vuly Trampolines have a great product called a deck. It is foam coated and can be used for kids to practice extreme sports moves e.g skateboard tricks, snowboarding, water skiing.

Movies: Hang a white sheet between the net poles and then project a movie onto the sheet.

Wrestling - does this even need to be mentioned? According to memories from our three sons wrestling with the bros on the trampoline was "the best".

Just jumping for hours at a time is pure bliss for those who just love to jump and jump and jump.  (that was and still is me)

However your kids want to use their trampoline this summer, they will certainly be creating life-long memories of fun and long summer holidays that they will wish lasted a lifetime.
