A Trampoline Buyers Guide (Kids test and feedback)
Buying a trampoline is easy, but buying the wrong one is easier.
Kids are becoming more discerning as every year passes, we see kids who have a very clear idea of what they want from their trampoline and they are able to convince their parents to travel long distances to come and test our trampolines.
Typically the families have had a department store trampoline, or one of the very expensive branded trampolines and have been disappointed for a variety of reason and not all are the trampolines fault. When parents have bought what is either the biggest or perceived as the best in the market; only then to find their kids don’t like it, it is no wonder they see value in going for a very long road trip to settle the family trampoline debate once and for all.
We've had kids and parents come from all around Victoria, South Australia, New South Wales, and Queensland.
The trampoline marketplace has become a place where every business will shout about quality, best bounce, and with all sorts of gimmicky inclusions.
The kids we see typically don’t want anything more than Bounce, safety, and space from their trampoline.
We arranged for some local Geelong kids to volunteer for a date to come to our warehouse to be filmed both inside and outside on our range of trampoline. The task they had to do besides some jumping and tricks that were within their skill set was to give us, total truthful feedback on their experience on each trampoline.
We stressed to them that we didn’t want to hear them tell us that each trampoline was amazing for them for all tricks. We know that isn’t correct.
Once they knew we really wanted the truth, they delivered. In the links to the youtube videos below you will see mostly the same 8-10 kids giving feedback on the various rectangle trampolines and the different spring and moat combinations.
Teens are quite discerning about what they want and need to implement and practice the skills they are after. What they need from a trampoline will vary, depending a lot on the sports they are training for and their weight.
Our appreciation and thanks, to the kids and their parents as they waited on a cold Winters day for their kids to help us out. We even dealt with a good download of hail.
There is a small graphic included in the videos to indicate the change to High bounce mat/ and or spring changes which makes it easier to scan through the videos.

We assess for the optimal for the family and then, of course, there are very real parameters of budget and space.
Sometimes being aware of the pros and cons of a trampoline can be enough for families to decide they have the best for them already and be more understanding of their existing trampoline.
Round, rectangle, brand, kids ages, sports, yard and budget all play a significant role when choosing a trampoline.
