Trampoline Safety 101
While a trampoline looks like a simple object, it should not be taken for granted. Safety is always of paramount importance when using a trampoline, and so with that in mind, there are a few key things to remember when you are about to bounce.
Particularly for those that are starting out, always jump as safely as possible, which means landing on both feet. It may seem like fun to try one foot at a time but this can lead to hip injuries and until you build up a level of comfort and confidence in your abilities it is best to always take things one step at a time.
The worst possible thing you could do is to land on your head. Regardless of how soft and responsive to your weight the trampoline mat may appear to be, gravity will always play its part, and so you should always respect your body and in doing so maintain the ability to enjoy the trampoline for years.
Those that are not used to the trampoline surface and are learning how to control their body and find their balance are best advised to bounce on their own on the trampoline. Unnecessary impacts can lead to injuries and may put off someone that might otherwise love to continue rebounding.
So, once again, take your time with it, find your rhythm and only when you are absolutely comfortable should you even think about changing things up. Do what feels right for you, bounce within your ability level and you will get just as much from the trampoline as anybody else.
Finding the Right Trampoline for You
Here at Web and Warehouse, you will find GeeTramp and Vuly trampolines of all shapes and sizes. Typically we recommend the round trampoline for those that would like to have fun in their backyard, while the rectangular options are better suited to those that need to get that extra bit of height and bounce, and are most likely practising routines for athletic competition or in order to hone their extreme sports skills.
So, whether you are seeking out a 10ft, 12ft or 14ft trampoline, the team at Web and Warehouse will ensure that you are looked after. We love to share our knowledge and educate our customers, and in return, you get a world-class product that can be enjoyed for many years to come.Read Less
