The sandpit features a UV-protected tarp and an internal ground sheet to prevent grass and weeds from invading the sand play area, while also allowing for proper water drainage.
It is recommended to use a water-based stain or paint on the wood, as it protects the wood by creating a durable barrier against moisture and UV damage. This will penetrate the wood fibers, preventing rot and mildew, whilst maintaining the integrity of wood surface.
