Gtramp Games Results 2020
Congratulations to all the athletes who attended the #gtgamesanz over two days of 24th and 25th of January 2020 in a park at Takapuna Beach Auckland.
The setting up of the shade tents and trampolines was an epic enterprise but it was a true show of many hands make light work and together we had 5 trampolines assembled in around 5 hours.
The event wouldn’t have gone ahead without the contribution of “Jump” Trampoline Parks for being on the ground to arrange and organize location, amenities, and all the finer details of what it takes to co-ordinate such an event.
The weather really was perfect, parents rolled up their sleeves to help with registrations, food and shelter and so much more. Sponsors who sponsored with food and drink it was much appreciated by all - Juicies and Domino’s Pizza we all thank you.
Greg Roe from Freestyle trampoline ran the competition and again did a great job managing it and comparing, giving spectators and parents a better understanding of what we were all witnessing and giving a clear insight into what tricks are harder and why and I think we call come away with a better appreciation for the kid's skills.
Greg’s years as a professional trampoline athlete really came to the fore. He was supported by a panel of judges – Domitric from the US, Ziggy, and Nate from Australia. Unfortunately, the NZ judge was unable to be with us on the day.
Although the competitor's activities look reckless, as athletes they all really do take a lot of care and consideration before moving on to doing the next level of tricks and consult with each other for critique on their skills. So for all that is said that the Gtramp community is reckless the truth is that they do take care and precautions.
Again @maci.flips was the only female athlete and still the only female to have competed in a gtramp games anywhere in the world. We do hope to see more females join the GTGames in 2021 and with them, they will bring a fresh new element of finesse to the competition. To have a male and female comp running will be a show of sport growth and exciting times.
If you don’t have any kids into the sport “Gtramp” have a look at the following Instagram accounts and you will see trampoline skills and usage, unlike anything you will have seen at any trampoline park or your own back yard.
Gtramp is an aspect of a trampoline that combines with trampoline, gymnastics, and parkour. It is as out there as snowboarding and skateboarding were in their fledgling days. The Gtgames and the lead in “tramp champs” finalist rounds give these kids a place to be acknowledged for their skills. Its also an environment to give the kids additional important tips on safety awareness, recognition, and reinforcement for only progressing as they feel comfortable.
Supporting this event is important to us as a business as these kids have helped us to further develop our product to be better suited to kids in many different sports including gymnastics, dance, cheer, diving, BMX, wakeboarding, snowboarding, trampolining, etc.
We appreciate their support of our brand and are already looking forward to supporting them all throughout 2020 and being a brand sponsor in 2021.
