Geelong is working towards having a lot of on road bike trails too which quite frankly don’t always feel very safe. I personally don’t yet trust local drivers enough not to enter the bike lane so prefer to stick to these trails below that are off the main roads which is infinitely safer when you have kids with you.
Before you go
Check the weather, know your kids limits, check a map for working out which segments to start. Example you migh tstart at Barwon Valley Play park , ride on to Web and Warehouse, stop there for a play and loo break, then ride back. This would be about 6km of the 20+km loop
Pack some water and snacks, something to each sit on (plastic bin liner bags work good), a ball then with air in the bike tyres and helmets on heads you can get rolling.
